Design
I believe great design gives the user confidence and control. If an experience is truly well-made, you shouldn't have to think about it—it should simply work.
The best example is that simple success of finding the cup instantly in a new kitchen; that moment of ease is a direct result of thoughtful design. Conversely, an experience that forces you to stop and search is measurable friction. My portfolio demonstrates how I tackle this by prioritizing cross-functional collaboration and balancing business strategy with user outcomes, always aiming to deliver an optimized path that makes the user feel empowered and successful.
Sometimes, however, the cup isn't where you expect it—a very real challenge in product design! While we occasionally have to make sacrifices due to shifting priorities or pressing deadlines, I will walk you through my process for course correcting. My focus shifts to ensuring the user can still be successful, even if it means an additional click or a clear support article, because the goal is always user success, not just ideal perfection.
